Yay!!! Bathroom complete (for now)

Jim finished caulking and painting the molding this weekend. It looks fantastic!

New vanity light!

Getting closer! Jim installed a new light fixture over the vanity and got a new switch plate.

Sunday Funday

I taped the walls this AM while Jim went to Lowes to pick up a new vanity top and some hoses for the sink.

It's grey! Then we put the countertop in.

Jim also installed the medicine cabinet! It's coming together! Next is plumbing the sink.

Paint choices! We decided on Soulful grey from Lowes for the walls. For the cabinet I found Beyond paint in Deep Blue. It's an all in one paint (bonds, primes, paints). Friday the girls helped paint the cabinet, and Jim painted the ceiling.

Hall bathroom Reno 2/2/22

So we decided to do a little upgrade to the hall bathroom that H uses and calls her own. Plan is to painy the walls light grey; the sink cabinet navy blue; take off the shower door and possibly replace it, and upgrade cabinet hardware. First we took off the gold shower door. It was stuck on with multiple kinds of silicone and paste. We had to use rubbing alcohol to soften it up and then a paint scraper to get it off of the tub. That took multiple hours and applications of alcohol to get it mostly clean. We installed a Moen tension curved shower rod and liner so H could temporarily use the shower. Today I emptied out the medicine cabinet and shower so the cabinet could easily be taken down, and the tub cleaned. I also go a nice pic of the hole in the wall the light wire is coming through.
